People keep asking why Thune first. This is the long answer.
If you’re still wondering how we can dig out of the RINO mess we have in the Senate right now, & why #FireThune and the whole movement to force the immediate removal of the Senate Majority Leader John Thune is still the best first step in fixing this, let’s take a look;
The Founding Fathers designed both houses of Congress with a clear understanding of human greed motivators.
They built our system of government to channel that self-interest into something useful: Direct accountability to the voters who elected them, & when that gets out of balance, their self-interest is also the leverage you have against them to pull them back in line.
Right now, it seems that most Republican senators are paralyzed by fear of what Thune, McConnell, and Cornyn can do to them in the short term.
They’re desperate to protect their committee assignments, influence, and perks—power that ultimately rests in the hands of the current Senate Majority Leader who owes his position and allegiance to McConnell, perhaps the most universally reviled GOP Senator among Republicans today.
Of course there’s also money motives too, most of which are well-hidden until exposed, but those can be overcome as well.
So let’s first look at our desired goal:
Imagine what changes if a committed MAGA senator becomes Senate Majority Leader instead:
– Parliamentarian: gone
– McConnell’s committee roles: gone
– “Recess appointments” blockade: gone
– Cornyn’s committee roles: gone
-Zombie filibuster: gone
-Funding DHS is just a vote away
-Save America Act is finally possibleSuddenly the boot on the necks supposedly holding these Senators back then turns into a MAGA cattle prod -pushing those cowardly GOP Senators back in line with the full force of the new Senate Majority Leader AND the massive ground-swell of voter outrage. -instant voter alignment!
At that point, every senator’s short-term survival motivations shift away from Thune’s RINO TDS sabotage agenda.
Even the RINOs will fall in line (at least until their next election), because the public is no longer forgetting past betrayals the way it once did, and even if their own hidden money motives are strong, the leverage back towards the MAGA agenda is now much stronger in the direction of the voter’s desires rather than Thune’s heavy-handed sabotage.
This is exactly why #FireThune needs to take hold right now, and it IS taking hold.
The rage and demand to remove Thune from leadership is top-of-mind across MAGA nationwide, and even among the roughly 70% of Democrat voters who support basic measures like voter ID.
Democrats in the Senate are betraying their own base in this fight too, so the hit to the midterms may be overblown by hostile media as always.
You may be furious with your senators for dragging their feet, believe me, I am too, but the immediate priority is to put maximum pressure on every single member of @SenateGOP to replace Thune until that is the only thing driving them.
That bare-knuckle brawl in the Senate is the first step that has to happen, & before we can make any real progress, Thune has to be stripped of his leadership role.
That’s when the entire dynamic changes.
It’s okay if you’re just now climbing aboard. Many of us have been saying this since January— and some, since Thune’s very first day in office. It doesn’t matter how you got here, what’s important is that you are here, in good company.

No more posturing, @BasedMikeLee and others “sound” like they’re on your side, but has he called for Thune’s removal directly yet?
Has he, or anyone else declared they will be one of 5, & get this removal process started?
No… No Senator has yet shown they support the actual voters more than other politicians.
The internet and airwaves are chock-full of empty words though, that they keep doing all day, every day…
Until that removal of Thune happens, every member of @SenateGOP is actively betraying the entire voting public by not being proactive about saving our elections.
Historic betrayal as far as the eye can see…
Follow the F-ing money, this can have no other cause.
