Here’s what I posted at the end of last year:

“Burning an image of Christ or a bible is something they dance with glee over.
But this is suppose to be bad?
We are not the same.”
I linked a post by Larry Taunton there. His point: holiness lives in the Lord himself, not in an object. The tablets got smashed. The temple fell. Burn a Bible and the Word is still the Word.
That’s why Christians don’t riot over it.
I’m not saying go burn anybody’s book. I’m saying pick one rule. Either it’s free expression or it’s an outrage. It can’t flip depending on whose faith is the target.
Christians aren’t asking for special treatment. Same treatment. That’s all.
We are not the same.
I’ve made this point before:
Being offended doesn’t change actual history…
Be offended, but this nation was founded mostly by Christians and has always been a Christian nation by virtue of how the founding principles and laws were shaped from a Christian belief system. Part of that included a desire to protect all faiths equally in order to protect their own. Being magnanimous in their willingness to protect other faiths does not create an establishment of atheism as the National religion.
The absence of religion is equal to establishing the religion of atheism, which violates the constitution.
